Cuckoo Clock "Keiichi Sumi's exhibition"

CLASKA's Gallery & Shop "DO" invites Keiichi Sumi from 7th of Augost.
He is well known as ex-orner of the modern-Japanese antique shop called "Push me pull you" in Ikejiri-ohashi. What he makes are the original objects made from used pieces, old tools, and even old furniture, from there he made his avant garde style, which is almost like Arte-Povere idea. Lot's of fashion, design, art fields people in Tokyo are impressed by his works and activities.
This time, we will represent his latest pieces. "Cuckoo Clock", which does not have a clockface. you recognize the time only through the voice. "decahedron lamp", "vacuum cleaner accordion", "long table with tap", "saddle pillow" will be displayed as "a house = mass function .
His great installation will be shown as a great opera.
Keiichi Sumi
Born in Hokkaido in 1964. His farther runs construction office for the reparing of the churches mainly for Truscinu chirch . Moved to Tokyo in the age of 18 years old. Studied in Art & Architecture school of Waseda university. Visited around europe countries. Experienced 3 years
in the architect office. Experienced even the window cleaner, at a same time kept traveling the world for 10 years. 2002, lounched Interior shop "push me pull you" in Ikejiri ohashi.
Designed several butique shops such as "Vetement" in Minami-aoyama, "La Galerie des Nakamura", "Haberdashery", "Lion building". Closed shop in 2005, moved to Waseda with his partner Kimiko Matsuzawa.
Published their idea book "1X1=2 works of two " .
